ICYMI: Piedmont Rising Launches $2 Million Ad Campaign Targeting Tillis Over SCOTUS
Raleigh, N.C. - On Friday, as the New York Times reported, Piedmont Rising launched a $2 million ad campaign targeting Thom Tillis over the Supreme Court vacancy. The campaign began with a new TV ad, “Gone,” which “aligns with a central election issue for Democrats — health care — and argues that a vote for President Trump’s nominee for the court puts the Affordable Care Act at risk, along with protections for pre-existing conditions that are enshrined in the law.”
WATCH THE AD HERE:
Shortly after Justice Ginsburg’s passing, Tillis said he would rubber stamp any Trump nominee, a reversal of his 2016 position when he insisted that the Senate not confirm a Supreme Court nominee during a presidential election year. The ad demands that Tillis let North Carolinians have a voice in the process before making a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.
The TV ad will run in the Greensboro and Greenville/New Bern markets for several weeks.
