Advocates & Electeds Hold Press Call In Response to Skyrocketing Drug Costs

Piedmont Rising will join Protect Our Care, elected officials, and advocates for a tele-conference at 11am to Share Health Stories, Discuss Call to Combat Rising Drug Costs

Town Hall in Elizabeth City POSTPONED Due to Weather

Raleigh, N.C. - In response to skyrocketing drug costs, local advocates are holding a press call today highlighting the rising drug costs of prescription drugs at 11:00 AM ET. The group of grassroots leaders, advocates, and elected officials will underscore how too many American families are staying up at night worrying about choosing between getting their medication and paying their rent.

Additionally, Piedmont Rising had been scheduled to host the town hall at Elizabeth City State University on Thursday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m. ET, the first of three town halls this month. Piedmont Rising plans to reschedule the event for a later date.

WHAT: Piedmont Rising will join Protect Our Care for a Press Conference Call on the Lower Drug Costs Now Act (H.R. 3), legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs for North Carolinians.
